Measurement & EvaluationThe HBOS Foundation is committed to ensuring that its donations are used wisely and to best effect. Each project paper submitted to the Trustees, details the proposed outputs that have been negotiated with the charity, and which the Trustees consider and assess in reaching their decision on whether or not to support the project. These outputs are then monitored and measured on a case by case basis as each project is completed and regular reports are produced on progress. Outputs are measured in accordance with the methodology established by the London Benchmarking Group and are reported to them for cross company comparisons and corporate benchmarking purposes. Outputs are considered against the key themes of the Foundation, the sustainability of the project and the leverage of additional funding that charities can obtain on the back of the donation from the HBOS Foundation. Full Details Reporting, Measurement & Evaluation Review Process: The Foundation Team provide a full report on all activities and management accounts to the Trustees on a quarterly basis, at each trustee meeting. Comprehensive contact plans and reporting schedules are in place to ensure that programmes are running to set objectives and to monitor activities, outcomes and variance. The Foundation Team also has monthly meetings with the Charity of the Year and short listed charities to meet Million £ Challenge targets. Charities supported through the Large Grants Programme provide quarterly reports and have ongoing contact with the grants officer through out the year. The Foundation Team hold two annual feed back and evaluation sessions for all charities supported through both the Million £ Challenge and the Large Grants Programme. |
